Luxembourg Art Week is delighted to announce the appointment of Mélanie de Jamblinne de Meux as Deputy Director

Luxembourg Art Week, the premier international art fair held annually in the heart of Luxembourg, is excited to announce the appointment of Mélanie de Jamblinne de Meux as its new Deputy Director, effective as from September 2024. This appointment marks a significant milestone as Luxembourg Art Week continues to enhance its mission of celebrating and promoting contemporary art.

Mélanie will work closely with Alex Reding, the interim director of Luxembourg Art Week on this anniversary edition and they will work closely together to define the fair's medium and long-term strategy.

She joined the Luxembourg Art Week team in September 2023, where she was in charge of the programme and public relations, then partnerships, after spending more than four years as part of the programming team for Esch2022, European Capital of Culture. She was also involved in coordinating several exhibitions organised by Lët'z Arles, a cultural association that promotes Luxembourg artists at the Rencontres d'Arles photography festival every year. She began her career at Smets, a high-end luxury store combining fashion, design and art, in the communications, marketing and events department. Committed to the development of the Luxembourg art scene and convinced by the dynamics of networking, since 2018 she has been a member of the board of Lët'z Arles and Amis des Musées Luxembourg, where she co-founded the Young Friends of Museums programme, dedicated to young art enthusiasts.

Mélanie de Jamblinne de Meux grew up in Luxembourg and studied communications, art history and cultural project management abroad.

Fatah Boudjelida, Board member Luxembourg Art Week, said “We are delighted that Melanie has agreed to take on this role. We have been very impressed by her skill and commitment since she joined the Luxembourg Art Week team and the Board looks forward to working with her on the 2024 and future editions.”
